If you are going to spend $100K on a double, why buy this one? At this level, you aren't generally going to take it out into anywhere it's going to get mucked up or scratched, even if money was no object. And if you can afford 100K for a hobby, spend about double that and buy that incredible Purdey DR Curls photographed for us. Its still for sale and given the fact that Purdey builds only a small number of DRs, a better 'buy' IMHO than the DRs currently available at the H&H site and a better 'investment.' Look at it this way, how many Purdey DRs show up for sale, anywhere or in any condition? Now ask yourself how many H&H you see. If I was buying DRs as an investment or just wanted to make sure what I spent would keep the most value down the years, I'd not hesitate to buy a Purdey.
