I have been confused by this as well. Can a boxlock be considered a "best" gun? I believe it can, after all, the boxlock was an "improvement" over the sidelock when introduced - fewer parts, inherently more reliable etc. A trigger plate action is a thing of beauty - David McKay Brown ad in past DGJ's is a good look inside. They are "best" guns in most everybody's book. Has Boss ever made a boxlock? They were "makers of best guns only" right? I totally agree with Sinner on the current Rigbys. I have no idea what would compel anybody to buy a new Rigby. What of this Westley? http://www.gunsinternational.com/detail.cfm?id=100019944&string=cid=494 Big bore stopper for a very unstopper price? I know nothing of this gun's quality but it looks like purely a "business" rifle. |
