You know what, there really isn't a correct stance. It's just there is a better stance for handling recoil. I've often seen dudes standing incorrectly in that they are square to the target and not bladed instead. When they touch one off, they go back at least 4-6 steps and almost fall on their ass. Same with the position of the head, without proper stock and cheek weld your head is going back and forth like the bob-n-head doll.
