Re: RE: Book, Shooting the British Double Rifle, please com

Just one more post, then I'm done.
DRJack: Please don't take my responses personally. You asked in the title-bar of this thread "Please comment", and in the body of that 1st post, further asked what we "handloaders have to say about this, especially you guys from Australia". So I did! I try to respond to the content of the post, not the poster, and will continue to provide help where I can, or post enquiries of you if I need to know more. I hope you are OK with this.

Graeme Wright's book has been around now for 12 years, and your post is probably the first we have ever seen questioning his loads, and especially accusing him of publishing unsafe loads and encouraging unsafe practices with filler. Comments like: "second publiction ...may be considerably improved over the first publication--I HOPE SO---" and "these things ... are terribly important, some of them from a safety standpoint " are a little inflammatory, you must admit!

Questioning your motives was not entirely out of line, however on reflection, perhaps some of my responses could have been better worded. Admittedly I did see red!

I will conclude by saying that I hoped the responses of others here would have laid some of your fears to rest, but apparently that is not the case. As you know, you can PM me anytime and I will endeavour to give you as straight an answer as I can, at least from an Australian stand-point, and can draw on other Aussies with far more experience than me.

...and BTW, when the third edition becomes available, don't sit on your thumbs!
