I do not think I would want to shoot mono metal bullets in its thin barrels.

However, I think the 250gr Swift A Frame would give you all the performance you need in a soft point bullet in this weight range in the 9,3x74 R.

For all game under elk the 232 Vulcan would work perfect.

Probably even for elk, as I saw some tests done by Swedish hunters that were provided with factory 232 Norma Vulcan ammo.

It did very well on their "moose".

One thing for sure this is a very light, short, well handling double.

Would be great for rough country hunting.
