I saw some Peter Hofer rifles as the Vintagers this year. I truly respect the man's artistry, but they seem more at home in an Antoni Gaudi exhibition.

I know some men really love a showy gun (I've seen it plenty at the skeet range) but for me, a 500/465 H&H Royal (or Purdey) with simple English scroll and nice dark case coloring is perfection.
