I have hunted with MS twice, and enjoyed it very much both times. He is a very nice fellow, though gets a bad rap from a lot of folks, which he understands is just part of it.

When we discussed double rifles, he claimed to me that the 600 Nitro Express was his calibre of choice hands down. However, he did admit the 577NE is a very close second. I was hunting with a London made J. Rigby 577NE that he was very interested in. Never mentioned his old 700 Watson though. I did ask him if he had a favorite maker, his reply was "anything British". I would not hesitate to hire him again.
