I am also convinced that shooting many rounds with a .22 is about the best way to improve my shooting skills but since we in Germany have to go to a shooting range which is usually open only at the weekends and then often crowded, I aquired a Diana air rifle and had a gunsmith put the same open sights on it as on my DG rifle. Now I can practice almost for free in my appartment, shooting off-hand, kneeling, snap-shots and all.
Just another option to shoot as much as possible.
