This rifle is not really lost, as a poor landed immigrant arriving in Canada in 1982 I was forced to sell my prized DR. I am curious as to where she may be today and thought the current owner might be interested in what little history I know of her. The rifle was a Watson Brothers, box lock non-ejector, with a beautiful Acanthus scroll engraved action in caliber .450-400 x 3 1/4. If my memory is correct she had very short barrels, 22 or even 20 inches and a three leaf folding express sight. Serial number was 13755. She had been restocked, rather poorly. I sold her complete with a set of North Devon Firearm Services custom dies, some Bell brass and Barns jacket bullets. The purchaser was in Eastern Canada. If anyone has procession of this rifle I would be very interested in hearing from them. Merry Christmas. John |
