Roscoe once again has said it best! Great post. I too prefer the sxs, however this is not due to function in the field or feel.

I have owned several O/U double rifles in large and small calibre, and found them to work just fine with no noticeable difference in actual hunting use. I doubt the dead animal noticed the difference either.

In short buy what you like, and enjoy owning it 100% of the time.
