If you want to have your son become proficent at doubles and not spend an arm/leg on guns and ammo--why don't you get a double 12 or 20 gauge side by side with 2 triggers--let him practice with that for a while--could use shot and slugs--wouldn't have to spend much on either and he could practice, practice, practice..

As in an earlier post by 400Nitro, most people do not shoot their doubles enough...
