Redoing the screw holes shouldn't be a problem
at all.

BTW, getting screw holes to line up on any old
gun is hard as they all change.

Re Value, no, it shouldn't affect it at all.

Keep the old pad and IF someone complains,
give it to them with the gun !!!

Check out the Limbsaver Recoil pads - they really
do take away the recoil.
