I also disaggree with daggaboy. It is correct that I did not fire a 470 in my life, and ordered a 600 NE single shot from Mr. A. Marting Hagn. But I own and fire a 500 A-Square from Heym. I still do not hit very much with the near full power loads 500 A-Square, but I developed a load with ca 650 m/s for the 535grs bullet from Woodleigh. I exercise with this load and my performance improves (indeed, it had not been possible for my performance to decrease much more...) And nevertheless, I wanted a single shot in 600 NE, for it is a classic caliber for a classic, nearly handmade rifle. The Heym shoots accurately, functions flawlewssly, has a good trigger and good sights, but it is a "working gun". The Hagn single shot will be (for me) a masterpiece with character which will be shot about two times a year on the shooting range, once in my lifetime on a hunt and admired very often. But, if someone has no sense for such things, my explanation will be useless... Rolf |
