My 4 bore is being color case hardened as I type this. Then it goes back to Ken Owen to finish up a few details. The minimal engraving is done. I hope to get it from Ken in two or three weeks. I have a local guy that is going to checker it and finish the wood. I am going with an an oil lustre sheen finish. Not a high gloss and not flat either, kind of in between if you know what I mean. Ken is supposed to be sending me more progress pictures, but he is rather slow in that dept. I guess I would rather he keep the gun on schedule than the pictures. Since Kyle would have been 16 on the 27th of December, I had the custom serial number KMG001 put on the 4 bore for him. I hope he appreciates me taking a wallop from the gun every time I shoot it.
