The date code key is for Kynoch ammunition. Kynoch didn't make shotshells after 1924, and the code key is for the system that started in 1926. No need for the metrics to be included in the box code section, as the box codes mean the same for them as they do for the standard British calibers. What the book does not contain is the key to Eley's box codes prior to 1926, nor have I ever seen one elsewhere.
