The rifle will be in hand in a few days, and I am anxious to handle it. I am almost certain I first saw this rifle in Las Vegas 5 to 6 years ago and fell for it then. At that time I was unable to make a deal on it and sorely regretted that. I kept the owner's name and address for a number of years after that and called him several times. Then I lost his contact information and assumed the rifle was finally lost also.

Out of the blue it appears on Monty Whitley's website! Monty bought it at the Tulsa, Oklahoma show just recently. Well, opportunities like this don't show themselves very often. I closed my eyes and took the plunge.

Now I will be looking for reloading components and equipment. Does anybody have any brass they want to sell? I'm finding that .577 brass is a bit hard to come by at the moment. I guess I'll order a set of .577 2 3/4" dies from Huntington along with a shellholder and a trim die. If anybody has such a setup lying around unused and would like to part with it, let me know.

More will be said as this new adventure unfolds. I can't wait to shoot this rifle.
