Mick, yeah, I totally agree that it would be a rather unsafe practice in more ways than one, but with the inertia trigger on my gun you don't need to do that.

First I will never own a single trigger double rifle, and CERTAINLY, not an inertia cocked second barrel.............. I would rather hunt with a singleshot that I knew, up front, is a single shot!

I'll bet you right now that if you had a misfire with that single shot and I had a misfire at the same time in the first barrel of my inertia single trigger double that I'd be able to fire my doubles second barrel before you could even extract the misfired case from your single shot!
