I have owned a Kreighoff Teck .458 since 1971 and have taken elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, kudu, and eland (the last four with the interchangeable barrels in .375 H&H). The action features double under lugs and a Kersten cross bolt. In my case, the action is still extremely tight, and the action lever lines up slightly to the right of "fore and aft". Standard features include ejectors, which can be converted to extractors simply by removing the coil springs. This can be done in less than five minutes with no other tool than a screwdriver. One feature to look for is the removeable plate on the standing breech which Krieghoff introduced around 1973. This encompasses both firing pin holes and allows the firing pins to be removed and replaced without disassembling the action. |
