"I even now think that I actually wouldn't enjoy shooting a Boss!"

Not reverse snobbery as such, but just that it is a lot of money to spend on a gun. I can remember my Uncle, very late on, in his sixties, and in the late 1960s, going being approached one day, whilst shooting, by a young "thruster" to tell him that the pair of Boss guns he was using were worth "at least Ł1,000" or some figure! Unfortunately it put my Uncle right off, and he never shot with them again but sold them and bought a pair of AYA guns!
