I know most think of the Jones as stronger, but i wondered if a Jones without a third bite, is as strong or more importantly, stronger, than a toplever with a Greener cross-bolt third.

You might find it interesting that some guns with a Jones underlever have a third bite on the barrel lug. I know of several Holland 8,10,and 12 rifles and paradoxes with this third bite, a dolls head and sideclips.
