Which Manton?

John and Joseph Manton were superb London gunmakers of the highest order, arguably he best in the world in their day.

The firm of Manton & Co of Calcutta (and Delhi) retailed rifles made by others in a range of grades, including some brilliant stuff by W&C Scott, Wilkes, Webley, etc, as well as a scattering of hardware from European and American makers.
