Over 400 crowd---
If working up a load for my .416-I have shot as many as 20 --but that is my max--I will shoot something smaller as well as I have to drive about 30 minutes to get to where I can shoot--on my .470 --I usually will not shoot more than 10 per session.

As to number shot per year--If I have a hunt coming up--I shoot at least 2 times per week or more for about 2 to 3 months before I go--shooting mostly from hunting situations--not off the bench--I like to practice shooting off hand as I feel this is the most challenging and yet in a lot of cases the most practical..

fortunately for me, I have a Double Dealer in town I have become friends with--as they shoot all guns before they are put on their web site--I have the good fortune of shooting a lot of those guns--which is a great way to shoot many different doubles and not have to pay for the ammo--tough job but somone has to do it..
