Re: New double rifle

I have been working with the new Pedersoli some more with cast bullets (don't have any jacketed stuff yet).I have tried 325 grain and 375 grain plain base and a 425 grain gas checked bullets so far. There is not a nickles worth of difference between the three at 50 yards.I will move on out to 100 & 150 yards the next time out.It regulates with all three at about 1750 to 1775 FPS with the 425 grain load being the best of the three-around an inch give or take to close to 2 inches for the lighter bullets-the heavier the better it seems. One thing I noticed was that the left barrel is consistently 8 to 15 FPS faster than the right barrel with the heavier bullets, and up to 25-30 FPS
Faster with the lighter ones (weighed powder charges).Probably why the heavier bullets group better I suspect.More results will follow as I get them.
