My thoughts were to utilize the quick 2nd shot of the Double at distance to hit the animal again if it doesn't stay down with the first shot. This seems a reasonable use of a Double at distance and would logically imply a faster, more accurate shooting than racking a bolt with marked hand movements and shooting a 2nd shot. I have no Double to prove that theory but it seems logical.I would love to get a scoped 30.06 Double and try it on a Dozen deer to see if it is correct!! |
