It's not so much the Colour Case Hardening that makes me think
it has been refinished but the stock.

It is the wrong type of wood copared to what an "old gun" would have on it but it is also just too new and unblemished.

I don't have a problem with restocks or refinishes, as long as they are done well.

Their are those who don't like restocks but if they broke the stock on their double rifle I am sure they would get it restocked !
