I'd agree with 500grains and would mix in the following to the determination: Is it a 'working' gun or a higher grade weapon? I can't tell from the photos, but while any DR in this caliber and in good condition is worth the price he suggests, assuming the condition described and, if refinished, done 'right' (a well done refinishing leaves the gun with the markings crisp and looking near original, the wood and color looking right, etc.) If it is a higher grade, is it engraved and if so, what percentage, case colors, etc? All of these are additional factors that can raise the price over a 'base' working gun in like condition. Also, it is a gun from a well-recoginzed maker in a 'collectible' chambering. That too adds to the potential price. Dave |
