I am considering the purchase of a Lancaster with oval-bore rifling and was wondering what to look for to tell if the rifling is in good shape or not. Also what are the general thoughts and experiences with this type of rifling? Good, bad, no difference? Do the barrels wear better of worse than with standard rifling?
