I like limbsavers and Pachmayrs.

The stock pad on Rugers and other factory rifles is virtually worthless.I am not especially fond of Winchesters red pad either.

I think you can get by with a so-so pad up to 300 mag, past that it can definitely affect your follow up shots.

Shooting a 470 without a pad? Interesting. On a 470 NE I think I would put the pad on prior to shooting the gun.Increasing the LOP may even improve followup shootability.I wonder- could shooting with/without a pad affect the regulation??
