Yeah, I agree.
Many of the WR doubles have the rearsight positioned only about 3 inches or so forward of the breechface and that is WAY too far back for me as well.

I think that sight in the photo is a bit further foward than what is the norm for most doubles, but I wouldn't worry about it in the slightest.
