Re: .577 gas checks

Bill it came with 8 rounds of 107 R-15 and 650 woodlieghs. shot well with that . it is a 650/90 cordite gun. Just ordered 50 .577 650's about $106.00 for 50. It will be several months it seems before I can get all the components together to load for it. Huntington said there are no cases (3") to be found. It is surprisingly mild to shoot with the 107 grain load. I hope to duplicate that with a cast bullet. If I can get the gas checks I will then have a mold made to fit the check that will approximate the 650 bullet. The bores show some slight cordite burn but are in good shape. I could probably get by with a plane based bullet but it is so much easier with a gas check bullet.
