You need to shoot the bullet and velocity the rifle was regulated for. Just picking up any bullet weight in the proper caliber will not work. Shooting any kind of monolithic solids is a poor idea in a Double because of the soldering of the barrels together. There are always exceptions but why worry about them if you don't need to. Plenty of 308 loads around.
