Mac-- Excellent comment.No doubt proper regulation of the bullets should make a fine Double a long range proposition. My comment was made with consideration of the prior Double maker recommendation to shoot the right barrel first in mind.Perhaps the right barrel heating up affects the harmonics of the left barrel? Would this imply an O/U be shot top barrel first? One wonders if a O/U Double rifle heating up the top barrel first would affect the flight/harmonics of a long range shot with the lower barrel. All this is mental BS--unless it seems to really matter in the field.Rifles are quirky.The only way to know would be to shoot and see and I don't have the SxS or O/U rifles to sort out 250-300 yd accuracy. I would love to try it with a scoped 375 Double H&H SxS vs O/U though--- |
