I have a Holland rifle that was made in the 20's and has very narrow swivels, less than 3/4". Were these designed for the thong type sling that Paul Roberts sells and that usually goes on guns with sling eyes? I would like to put a proper sling on the old gal. Its a trade Farquharson action and I just finished re-regulating it after the previous gunsmithing gremlins got ahold of it. Every thing works nicely now with a crisp 3lb pull. Just a few minor details to work out before a red stag hunt in april. Details like a good load to work up and a sling to help carry her. I love getting out the old warhorses and this one surely has seen some action. I know this belongs in the single shot forum, but the doubles get all the attention. Pictures to follow. Steve |
