Hi Sinner,

Don't believe what Aziz says. I am an acknowledged expert in all Asian languages. I will give you the true message. The passage translates as this:

"To the one into whose hands this rifle shall come:

You shall immediately place it in safe packaging and post it to Roscoe Stephenson, Covington, Virginia USA."

I'm sure you find this injunction quite surprising. Frankly, I am surprised also. Nevertheless, it must be obeyed, because the message goes on to say that:

"Failure to obey will result in a scourge of the pox on you and your kindred."

You must understand that certain Asian customs cannot be ignored. Thank you for your prompt compliance. The command is so written.

Have no fear. I will care for this rifle meticulously. It is truly a breathtaking arm.

P.S. By way of further explanation, the command refers to my grandfather, who in 1918 was a prominent attorney in Covington, Virginia, but now deceased. As his namesake, and by ancient custom, I now succeed to the benefit of this requirement and will fully perform all duties to receive and take care of this fine rifle. Thank you once again for recovering this treasure.

Curl, thank you for the comical entry. I think you forgot the bottom line which reads: And if the one who holds this rifle shall encounter a Woodward snap action in the same calibre, then it is written that the 2 guns should mate and have twin 22 hi powers.
