Unfortunately most .450/400 we see for sale are too heavy for their caliber and recoil. They were good for shooting tigers out of a tree stand as the recoil wouldn't dislodge you, but if tracking elephant, then you might as well use a heavier caliber for effect. Yes, I know I'll probably hear about that statement, but so be it.
