Bonanza- I'm with you on this one. I was and am shocked at the price increases for African hunts I saw at DSC and heard about from feedback from those who attended SCI. An example - a $6000 PAC elephant hunt jumped this year to almost $11,000. Apparently, these increases are not due to cost increases in Africa but to the fact that demand is up - this year. With price oncreases like that, a very large chunk of those interested in African hunts are priced out of the market. No faster way here in the US to permanently cool interest in something than to start pricing things that look like gouging. I looked into this over a year ago, and although I cannot recall the price details, OZ hunts were not bad. |
