Re: SCI Reno

I saw a lot of rifles being sold (of every kind and configuration) but personally didn't see any "drunk" patrons. Or at least didn't note any in my wanderings. There were more rifle manufacturers at this convention than last, and all of them seemed happy. I'm not an expert, so cannot comment on the cost of the rifles being sold. I did see a lot of rifles priced in the high teens to well over 100k. As noted the Searcy classic is $15k, Chapuis run around $11k, H&H and Purdey are ridiculous as noted. G&H had rifles from the 10's up through 150k displayed. I didn't check prices of Rigby, Boss, Fabri, Rizzini, Westley Richards, and others. Many others were there and I didn't bother to check prices very much as they were pretty much all well out of my range. One I did handle and drool over was a Westley Richards double .22 High Power (Champlins asking price $19,500). Very nice rifle and I can't imagine a rifle that would be more fun for "play time".
