I've read lots of the post in the past on this site and really enjoy it. I now have a better reason to read them and actually join. I own a double rifle. My best friend in this world, who was a member here "DaveM3", died on Dec. 23, 2006. He owned a G. Little .500 Black Powder Express. I was fortunate enough to purchase it from his family. It was a privilidge to get to handle and shoot such a rifle and it's truly an honor to own my best friends prized double. Not a day goes by that I am not reminded in some way of him as we spent lots of free time tinkering with or shooting our favorite guns. Like myself he liked big bore rifles and told me that "recoil builds character". Well, I think we stocked up on it between the .500 and my .458 CZ. Dave's still here, it's just hard to talk to him now. He had a long battle with cancer and I guess Jesus needed someone to teach him to shoot. |
