Terref and 500. There is no need to rechamber the rifles, all it needs is a competent gunsmith to cut the rim rebate into the back of the chamber including the extractor. The indent that is fitted for rimless rounds is removed and that is it. All you then need are the new rimmed cases, shell holder to suit the rimmed case and the 308 or 30.06 dies depending on which caliber you bought. $800.00 is very cheap. $1400.00 is what I have seen, and some places are more expensive. I believe Mc Donald guns of Footscray, victoria, is getting five 9.3 x 74 rimmed in in Feb. |
