I have a new Merkel 8x57jrs that I think will serve all my needs for No. America. As soon as I get the claw mounts installed it will also be scoped,probably with a 1.5x5 Leupold VX-III. It's really a nice light handy rifle and should handle any game i'm likely to hunt in the future.
