Hi, In Norway we also have limited brands to chose among. However, a Hunting magazine in Norway did a test-shoot on a Merkel with 90grs of N150, so I'd say thumbs up for that load: The load was chronographed and found to be reasonably fast(not quite the advertised speed), and it regulated beautifully in the testgun. I've heard Vh N150 90 grains is pretty close to the Federal standard load. I don't want any responsibility of the use of this load, but it seems like a decent load to me. I've got a Merkel .470 myself, and I intend to try it with Woodleigh softs when the weather gets warmer. Wintertime is hunting and not shooting-season for me.. A mail to the Vh company might work out? |
