I've got a Merkel 140 in .470, and can't say I'm overly impressed with the standard sights...

I'd very much like a wide shallow backsight, with platinum mid-line or something of the sort..coupled with an Ivory front sight. or perhaps there are other frontsights that are good in dense bush and won't glare when used in the open at midday?

Who(/does anyone ) deliver such custom parts?

Anyone who has tried some sights that are particularly good?
I'm contemplating about hunting moose with the DR next year, and have to pass a certain national shootingtest that require 3 hits within a circle of 12-14" at 100m offhand so they can't be too coarse..

I can do that now (on a good day that is!

) with the current sights as they are nice to use on targets. But I find them hard to use in a hurry... Besides the blueing on the front sight is getting worn and I find it to be a bit hard to see in bright light..
