”Swivel Breech” Kentucky Rifle

This ”Swivel Breech” Kentucky double rifle was manufactured by Henry E. Leman of Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the late 1840’s or early 1850’s. Innovative & Quality Workmanship best describes this exceptional condition, rotating barrel design, 45 caliber Kentucky Rifle. It’s Multi barrel concept, certainly an ingenious innovation from that period and crafted of fine quality. This Rifle still retains it’s original bore worm, with period original hemp pulling cord, in PatchBox and is in exceptional untouched condition. Rifle stock boasts ”Fine” quaility brass inlays and patchbox, with stock construction and ramrods of Curly Maple. Trigger assembly contains front set trigger for ”fine” accuracy. Metal finish is original, containing no pitting or rust. A finer example of an American manufactured ”Swivel Breech” would be very difficult to locate.
