Illinois allows you to hunt with a ML during the last week of gun season, and this would be legal during that time. Also, Illinois and Wisconsin have off season problem animal hunts allowed if a land owner gets permission and these guns could be used during that time as well.

My interest in this is because it is the only double other than the Pedersoli ML that I can afford to buy.

That is definitely, as you put it, a piece "with more flair." I doubt that whoever eventually buys it would hunt with it because of that very flair.
