Who is to say what gun is legal or illegal? Law enforcement is just the acting agent of government, not the focus of the gun debate. Where do you draw the line on what guns a free people may possess vs the Governmental army of that country?? I say for the people to have the power and ability to confront a potential corrupt government they should be armed similarly. The 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution agrees. This is also the logic of the Revolutionary militias in America before the US was formed. The militias were armed the same as the standing armies to confront them as necessary. What laws are morally right and what laws are inherently wrong? If someone traffics any firearm to criminals knowingly he has violated a moral law. He should be incarcerated. If he has sold a gun with a technical illegality to a moral man he has broken no moral law but only the minutia of a PC gun law.He may be imprisoned but wrongly so.The governments of man are imperfect and flawed and thus make immoral laws. Bottom Line--Our governments firearm laws are what we allow them to be. More stricter gun laws just disarm the innocents and embolden evil predators..Less laws among moral men are better laws. |
