I feel that I must put finger to key in defence of our police force.

Whilst I have no time whatsoever for the politically motivated and futile firearms laws enacted by our political masters, I have found our police force very fair and reasonable in their enforcment of those regulations.
I have a substancial collection, have never been refused permission to keep anything that I wanted that was legally allowed. I have been allowed ( because the law does not allow a gun to be purchased where its only use will be abroad) my .450 No.2 double as a target rifle so that I may have it in this country. I have long barreled revolvers, several rifles, even two identical for compitition except for different sights for different disiplines.
I cannot see how the police could have been fairer, they do not make the laws only enforce them.

Yes I don't like having to justify what I buy, I have never commited an ofence in my life, but enough people voted for the other party and that is democracy.

If a dealer in this country is proven to have been dealing in illegal wepons then IMHO he should not go to prison for 5 years but the rest of his life. For he is the sort of moron that is responsible for the thugs on the streets with guns and the further persicution of the decent gun owners in this country. I have not one shred of sympathy.
