I really like my SxS rifles.

Each of them has a lot of character and they all seem to radiate a sense of history.

I'd never be upset with a double rifle that ended up being a tack driver. Handling and shooting my double rifles has grounded me quite a bit though in the distinction between great shooting rifles and great hunting rifles.

I own and have access to super-accurate bolt guns. I can give myself a lot of space between me and the game with a stable and solid 1/2MOA scoped .338
It's just not the same kind of experience as walking in and getting close with the 8x60 double rifle.

Either gun can get me a clean kill on good sized four legged game here in north america. I'd rather take the slinky little BLE though, just because I really like the double rifle.
