I have the Chapuis factory pivot mount on my 9,3. I have 2 scopes in rings a Leupold 2.5x8 and a Swarovski 1.5-6x42.
The scope is at a perfect height for the standard stock. The scopes go on and off with no loss of zero.
Both of these scopes will clear the rear sight.
Neither has come close to hitting my face.

When you order your Chapuis be sure and specify you want the rib precut for scope mounts.
They also have a claw mount option but I have not seen one on a 9,3.

A scoped 9,3x74R double is one fine hunting gun.
