Why on earth would you be shooting a double from the prone?

That, I would think, would be asking for injury since the body couldn't absorb the considerable recoil properly. I imagine that a scope mounted farther foward would also completely ruin the balance of the gun. I imagine a "scout scope" configuration would put the scope out over the the foward hand resulting in the total loss of balance. Recoil reducers and F/O sights are ok if one feels they're necessay on his or her gun but I would have to give the scout scope on a double a big hell no unless it could be balanced without drastically increasing weight.
