Anyone use a scout type scope setup with extended eye relief on a Double? It would seem this set up with the claw mounts positioned further forward would help with a scoped double if one is shooting prone and tends to "crawl" the scope. The usual eye reief of 3-4 inches diminishes markedly and can get you whacked in certain situations prone with the scope on a higher power. Happened once to me with a 416 Remington bolt. It was not fun. I am considering scoping options with a future 9.3 Chapuis Double. Suggestions? Experience?? |
